Registration and Licensure Requirements:

Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Registered Dietitian or registration eligible
3 to 5 years of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and/or United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) labeling experience
Individual must have knowledge of Microsoft Windows based applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Individual must be detail-oriented, self-starter, have good communication skills and be self-directed
Genesis R&D, EZ Form software, and Legi printing software knowledge preferred
Experience in the Education industry strongly preferred

As a result, we are addition a position to one of our fastest growing segments of the business. We are presently seeking a Nutrition Compliance Specialist. This position will be located in Irving, TX at our headquarters for our North American region.
Job Summary:
Incumbent will be responsible for creating, updating and approving label designs for current and new products. Work to ensure 100% product labeling compliance across multiple plants and customers.
Responsibilities:
Ability to conduct computer generated nutritional analysis
Ability to generate regulatory compliant labels for printing including standard of identity, net weights, serving sizes, barcodes and allergens
Ensure nutrition and labeling information is updated and accurate
Ensure compliance with unique ingredient requirements
Answer technical nutrition and labeling questions for sales, operations, and customers
Audit of plant labeling procedures and practices to ensure compliance with government regulations are being followed.
Create database of current labels

Order all necessary food and kitchen supply items and verifies system is in place to receive all food/supply items appropriately as ordered
Collect and balances cash drawers from cafeteria and takes receipts to accounting department
Check trays on patient tray line for accuracy and quality
Coordinate all activities that relate to food production, processing, purchasing, storage and sanitation
Be involved in employee orientation, discipline, and evaluations
